FALL 2011 TREND: SHINE & SPARKLE

My dearest, the fall is getting closer and closer. Do you know what that means? Our Fall 2011Trend journey can begin!

For the first stop on our exciting journey I chose the glossy trend. Shiny clothes has hit the runways not only in metallic colors, but the whole color spectrum! You can dress it up or dress it down and still look glamorous!

What actually inspired me for this post was Mochino's Fall 2011 collection (I posted it on our FB page) which has the masculine/feminine twist. That feminine side is something we are interested in and includes lots of gold and lots of sparkle.

Za prvo stajalište našeg putovanja odabrala sam jesenski trend-sjaj.  Sjajna odjeća je pogodila piste ne samo u metalik bojama, već cijelom spektru. Možete ostati casual ili se srediti i dalje biti glamurozni!

Za ovaj post inspirirala me Mochinova jesenska kolekcija (koju sam objavila i na našoj FB stranici) koja ima muževno/ženstven obrat. Ono što nas zanima je ta ženstvena strana koja uključuje zlato i šljokice.

 

 

 

Another inspiring collection is Balmain's Fall 2011 collection wich is beyond spetacular (I also posted a video of this collection on our FB page). Christophe Decarnin's glam rock collection can only wear edgy, fierce and confident women. Don't you agree?

Druga inspirativna kolekcija bila je Balmainova koja je spektakularna. Christophe Decarninovu glam rock kolekciju može nositi samo hrabra i samopouzdana žena. Slažete li se?

Like Mochino, the collection has the two side twist, boyish and girly look. Girl side, of course, containd lots of shine and glitter. The collection is primarily fun, colorful and playful. Love it! And you guys?

VMA 2011 RED CARPET

 

I don't know about you guys, but I love events like the VMA! Glamour, entertainment and most importantly, the red carpet will always be there.

This year we had many committed fashion crimes which have to be convicted.  It seems some celebs like Britney cannot learn have to dress well, some like Nicky Minaj can't stop entertaining us with crazy costumes she's often wearing and,  of course, there are those who always look flawless and have the whole expert team which takes care of their image.

Čini se da neke zvijezde poput Britney nikako da nauče kako se dobro odjenuti, a neke poput Nicky Minaj stalno nas zabavljaju ludim kostimima, i naravno, tu su oni koji uvijek izgledaju savršeno i koji imaju cijeli tim koji se brine za njihov imidž.

Zoe Saldana wearing  a Barbara Bui fall 2011 dress and Balenciaga pumps . Zoe is looking flawless! One of my faves!

Selena Gomez wearing a Julien MacDonald gown, Brian Atwood pumps, a Judith Leiber metallic box clutch, Ofira gold drop earrings and gold Ofira cuff.  She looked really classy and super fabulous.

Victoria Justice wearing a leather fringe Theia mini. Looking really fab!

Kelly Rowland wearing a Falguni & Shane Peacock dress and Christian Louboutin pumps. Love her dress, it's a great choice and she looks gorgeous!

Beyonce wearing Lanvin and hiding a baby bump. She looked really chic and gorgeous!

Kim Kardashian looked stunning in a silver metallic dress, but a bit boring to me.

WORST DRESSED

Katy Perry. I'm not really surprised, we should expect seeing Katy wearing something crazy!

Deena Nicole Cortese. What was she thinking??

Britnea Spears is not really looking hot, fabulous or sofisticated!

Miley Cyrus. Disaster!

Vanessa Hudgens. She's really pretty lady but I don't like how this dress looks on her.

Nicky Minaj. I know she loves to play with fashion, but this time she went too far.

Famous photography duo Mert and Marcus did an incredible job creating yet another cover of Interview Magazine with beautiful Anne Hathaway.

Mert and Marcus envisioned this editorial as mystical and dark with a small dose of sex appeal. Even though Anne has a sweet and innocent face she really nailed this editorial. After all, what can go wrong when you have a beautiful star, wearing lots of couture pieces and an amazing photography duo?

Whether you like Anne or not you must admit that these pictures are breathtaking.

RUNWAY CRAZINESS

Gals, do you feel a bit crazy during this hot and sexy summer? Well, I do so this is where my inspiration for this post comes from….

I saw many collections this year but none so crazy like these ones. I don't mean bad crazy I mean stylish and fabulous crazy. Some designers kept it classy but some took it to another level. Christian Dior house stayed true to their feminine look but with a twist. Betsey Johnson is always too much for my taste. Maybe it is just me but I am always indecisive when it comes to her collections. Christoper Kane intorduced us to a flashy and fluorescent summer. Vivienne Westwood will always, at least for me, represent London chic and combination of incompatible. Manish Arora combined modern shapes with Indian rich colors and textures. Last but not least, Mary Katrantzou, turned women into vases and wallpappers which is kinda critique to the men that women aren't just subjects.

So fashionistas, to be crazy or not?
